May Birthstone: Emerald
6 05 2006April showers are over and the May flowers are already blooming in my garden, so it’s time to officially ring in the arrival of May (even if I am a little late) with a post dedicated to May’s birthstone, emerald.
Folklore states that emerald protects against evil spirits and ensures chastity. Whether that’s true or not, we can all agree that emerald is without a doubt one of the loveliest gems with which to grace your jewelry, from bracelets to necklaces to rings and everything in between.
With that in mind, here’s a stunning 3/4 emerald and diamond 14K white gold ring, which is colorful enough to be noticed but remains eminently tasteful, and would look amazing with any green or yellow clothes - it’s very much a piece of night on the town jewelry, and very affordable at 175 dollars.
And for a perfect accessory to a ring like that, why not unique 1 1/6 carat emerald and diamond 14K white gold pendant with a vertical row of three stars? Not only does it complement any other emerald jewelry you may have, it’s elegant and simple enough to be worn at almost any time.
