Synonymous with style, Italy is well known for its yellow gold jewelry and classical designs. Most jewelry in Italy is sold as 18 karat gold or higher, usually marked in the European markage of 750. Precious metals articles made in Italy cover alone 70% of European production. Each year in Italy 500 tons of fine gold, 1400 of silver and 4 of platinum are processed. There are over 10,000 companies operating in this sector, employing 40,000 people for production. Almost 70% of the gold-jewellery companies and 86% of operators are grouped into five Italian regions: Veneto, Tuscany, Piedmont, Lombardy and Campania.
If you want to get your hand on your own piece of Italian gold try out this very elegant 14K gold mesh bracelet. One of the biggest trends in jewelry is the the textural appeal of woven gold. The bracelet gives a look of gold that is so light, it looks almost woven, so soft, so pretty, so wearable! The sheen of woven gold adds pizzazz and glow to any ensemble.

I Have a necklace that has 925 Italy, can you tell me what kind of metal this is. thank you. Blanca

I have a piece of yellow gold jewelry stamped “italy 925″ is this 24 karat gold or what?
thank you
Same question as asked before, but I didn’t see a response. We have a gold colored necklace with 925 Italy stamped on it. Is this gold? A previous comment said it was sterling silver although the color of our necklace is gold.
