Hi,
I get the ice.com adds all the time and have ordered several for my wife. I received one recently for a l carat multi sapphire & diamond ring. I tried to order it for her on the same day and have tried nearly every day since but it keeps saying the item is not available. The item # is #RCP207816. I would really like to get this for my wife. Can you tell me anything about it?
Thank you

When you are looking at the diamond studs on the lady’s ear , are they the actual carrat size for each one , or are they the total carat size of the two earrings together .

Thanking you in advance

Hi Leslie,
If a lady wears a sweetheart (heart) necklace when she goes out, does this always signify that she is taken and has a sweetheart or do ladies sometimes regurly wear heart necklaces when they go out, with no underlying meaning intended?
Thank you,
Ken

Hi Leslie,
I’m interested in supporting the trade of ‘conflict-free’ diamonds. What should I be looking for/asking when I shop? Are there any online companies that you would recommend that surely supply diamonds from conflict-free countries?
Thank you for your help!

Yesterday (1/30) when I was browsing on ice.com you site stated there was a 20% discount until 2/28. However, when I tried to get the 20% at checkout, your site would only come up with a 15% discount. What happened?

Hi there, I am looking for something in topaz for a going away gift for one of my staff members, perhaps with a butterfly theme? Also, like Phillip, I tried to find the sapphire and diamond ring as well, are they out of stock?

Dear Leslie,

My husband purchased a black pearl pendant and earrings for me while on a business trip in India. They are set in 22 karat white gold and since that’s a little soft one of the posts broke off. I took it to have the post put back on and the jeweler that did it took the luster off of the pearl with the heat used to solder the post back on. I pointed the problem out to him when I went to pick it up and he said he will look into fixing it but it has been two weeks and he tells me his is still researching how to do it. Do you know if such a repair is possible and how it might be done? This jewelry has a lot of sentimental value to me and I want to make sure it is repaired appropriately if possible. Thanks, Kim in Maryland

Hi there,
I stumbled upon your site and was browsing around for a bit. I thought you would be just the person for my question. I recently proposed to my girlfriend (now my fiance ^^) and the ring was slightly to large. We’ve looked into resizing it, but its a tension setting and the ring is made of titanium. I wasnt certain if having a piece removed was an option, or if theres a trick to making it more snug, or even adding some sort of bar? Please help us out. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am 20 years old and looking for a nice little necklace for my girlfriend. I’m not sure really what to get, I have low budget and want to get something she can wear everyday. I tend to like plain, classy necklaces that aren’t to out of the ordinary. I wish I could give you more specifics but I don’t really shop for jewlry. Thank you very much for the help.

I recently became engaged and my fiance bought me a beautiful 18K white gold three stone ring. It was a little big, so I went to the jewelry store he bought it at and asked if I should order the correct size. They told me to have it resized, since it was just a half a size, this would not be a big deal. Two days later, I get the ring back and it has a yellow tinge to it…I can also see the repair site and a flat spot, like a tool mark. I took it back to the store and complained. They told me the jeweler is older and that he may not have noticed the yellow and he wasn’t told to polish it. They took it again and said they would have the rhodium cleaned and polished. I picked it up again yesterday and now the entire ring is dingy. It is no longer yellow, but now has a black tinge to it. I don’t know what to do. I want my ring to look like it did when it was given to me and now it looks dingy and my diamonds don’t pop as much with the setting. Should this store replace my setting and band? They also convinced me to size the wedding band and it too is dingy and came back with one of the prongs twice as big. I truly want my fiance to get his money back, but the ring is sentimental…it has been a little over 30 days since he bought the ring, but this all started within 30 days. Thanks!

Dennis (21:17:26) :

Hi,
I will soon be looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and I need some advice/information on precious metals. My girlfriend likes the look of white gold (white and shiny) but I do not like the premise behind it. Gold itself is yellow. It is then alloyed with a white metal (nickel or palladium) and then coated in rhodium. The resulting alloy is less lustrous than the rhodium coating so what she actually enjoys is the look of rhodium. I have been unable to locate jewelry made primarily of rhodium, a very expensive option. I have been considering platinum but since it is softer than rhodium, 14, or 18 karat gold it dulls quickly. Although it does not take much to buff platinum back to its original luster, I know she would be happier with a ring that is and stays shiny. Palladium is also another option but I think that it may be even softer than platinum.

I guess my questions are: What are my options if i am looking for a white lustrous engagement ring that will not dull quickly over time (a hard metal)? Is it possible to get a primarily rhodium ring and if so where could i look for such a product? Would a titanium ring fall into my criteria, and if so who carries titanium jewelry? If rhodium and titanium are unfeasible, do I have any other options? Thank you in advance for your response.

I am looking for a new wedding ring and happened across your sight. I know that this is a dumb question but If for some reason can I return it if I don’t like it? I Found a ring that is in my price range #RDA705646. I have always shopped for jewelry but not on line.

Please just give me some feed back.

Thanks

What would you recommend: My wife lost the solitare diamond from her ring last year. We have been married 40 years Oct. 1, 2006 and she will be 60 on March 17, 2007. I would like to get her something special for it. $1500.00 would be max. that I can afford.
Thanks,
